A couple who met while playing dwarfs in a Snow White pantomime have tied the knot in a 'fairytale' ceremony with their miracle son.

Laura Whitfield, 26, and Nathan Phillips, 37, first met while filming the Channel 4 documentary Seven Dwarves in Bath in 2012.

The pair, who both have different forms of dwarfism, got engaged in 2013 and they welcomed their first child at the beginning of 2014.

Nathan Junior survived against all odds after inheriting two different forms of dwarfism from his parents, North News reports.

The two-year-old is believed to be the first person in the UK born with two forms of dwarfism and doctors had warned his parents there was a chance he may not survive the birth.

But when his parents recently celebrated their wedding day with a lavish ceremony at the South Causey Inn in County Durham, he acted as a ring bearer.

“We met when we were doing a panto in Bath back in 2012,” explained Laura.

“It was Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, he was playing Grumpy and I was playing Soppy.

“It was amazing because it was the perfect fairytale start to our life together - now we are married and the wedding was simply magical.”

She added: “We waited so long to get married so that little Nathan could be old enough to carry the rings, but in the end the cushion was too heavy for him.

“He decided he didn't want to carry it anymore and he threw it to the side.

“It was quite funny and it was really special for us to have him there - he just loves to steal the show.”
