BLOG: English comedian needs a lesson on basic biology

‘It would seem that America is currently being run by men who think the case of Roe vs Wade was a tennis match.’ What a ridiculous, unintelligent analogy for Roe vs Wade that has led to over 60 million Americans being slaughtered through legalised abortion. Roe v Wade has led to the destruction of an entire country and has also severely damaged and even killed women as a result of so-called "safe, legal" abortions. Also, this ‘Tiff Stevenson’ has conveniently forgotten to mention that Roe vs Wade was signed in by 9 MEN. In Alabama, it was 2 WOMEN who signed and sponsored the Human Life Protection Act. Men are only permitted to have an opinion if it is PRO-ABORTION.

However, we say men should have a say over the lives of their preborn sons and daughters.

Ms Stevenson also conveniently forgot to mention that Jane Roe, from the landmark case, converted to become a pro-life advocate:

“I’m Norma McCorvey, the former Jane Roe of the Roe vs. Wade decision that brought ‘legal’ child killing to America. I was persuaded by the feminist attorneys to lie; to say that I was raped, and needed an abortion. It was all a lie.”

“I am dedicated to spending the rest of my life undoing the law that bears my name.”

It is absolutely baffling how pro-abortion people, like Ms Stevenson, are still using the “bodily autonomy” argument to advocate for legalised abortion. It is scientifically and biologically incorrect to say it is the woman’s body that is torn apart in an abortion. It is the baby’s body. Yes, the baby is dependent on his or her mother. Similarly, a newborn baby, a 1 year old, a severely disabled person, a very elderly person, people in a coma, intoxicated people are also often dependent on other people to survive.

Dependency does not determine human value.

‘London Mayor Sadiq Khan even sent a video message to US President Donald Trump condemning the actions of US States who are crushing women’s rights.’ It is legally false to claim there is a ‘right’ to abortion. No one should have the right or the ‘choice’ to determine whether someone else lives or dies. Using the word ‘crushing’ seems like sick, twisted irony. In a 2nd trimester abortion, the baby is torn apart limb from limb, their skull is ‘crushed’ and their body parts sucked out through a hose. This is not a right. This is not healthcare.

Ms Stevenson has the audacity to compare Northern Ireland to a fictional location in the Handmaid's Tale. We say 'Abortion is Patriarchy.' According to ARCH - Abortion Recovery Care & Helpline - more than 75% of women are coerced into abortion. There is nothing progressive or empowering about abortion. It allows men to escape their responsibilities. The sex trafficking industry and domestic abusers thrive from abortion as it removes the evidence of their heinous crimes.

The original suffragettes, feminists and women's rights activists recognised that women deserve having their human rights fought for, respected and upheld. However, abortion was never one of these rights:

"Abortion is the ultimate exploitation of women." (Alice Paul).

"When we consider that women are treated as property it is degrading to women that we should treat our children as property to be disposed of as we see fit." (Elizabeth Cady Stanton).

‘I had an abortion when I was 17…Back then, it cost about £350 and cost a hell of a lot more in mental health.’ Therefore, she is acknowledging that abortions have detrimental effects on women - including an increase in mental health issues. There is an 81% increase in mental health issues in post-abortive women, 10% of which is directly attributable to abortion (Fergusson 30-year longitude study 2008 and Coleman study 2011). Furthermore, you can't put a price on a human life.

‘Their fascination with life seems to end the minute that a woman gives birth.’ A typical pro-abortion mantra because they have to paint pro-life people as ‘pro-birth’ because none of their arguments are scientifically or morally right. Pro-life people care about everyone – born and preborn.

No woman has ever died because she was denied an abortion. Anyone – including this comedian who I had never heard of – who claims that women have died due to lack of abortion are lying through their teeth. Pro-abortion PROPAGANDA.

The tragic story of Savita Halappanavar was a very significant factor in abortion being legalised down south. This story was utilised as pro-abortion propaganda. The 3 separate, unbiased inquests – including the HSE and HIQA reports - into Savita’s death all reveal that Savita tragically died as a result of mistreatment of sepsis and medical negligence. Hence, 9 medical professionals were disciplined. If her death had happened because of the 8th amendment, her family would have sued the state and not the hospital. Abortion – the intentional killing of a human being isn’t and never will be a cure for sepsis – blood poisoning.

Abortion is not healthcare and isn’t mentioned in any scientific textbook or medical literature as a cure because pregnancy isn’t an illness or a disease. Real healthcare saves lives. Savita very sadly passed away because of medical negligence. Her death had nothing to do with abortion. Furthermore, a late-term abortion can never be done in an emergency situation. It takes 2-3 days at least to prep a woman for a late-term abortion. Savita would have passed away before this.

On the other hand, you never hear of the two Irish women who very sadly died as a result of abortion. Aisha Chithira, 31, travelled from Ireland to England to have an abortion in 2012. She bled out and died after having a so-called “safe, legal” abortion in a London Marie Stopes. She was discharged despite vomiting and feeling dizzy, and displaying symptoms that “were not appreciated as potentially sinister”. AlsoBimbo Onanuga, a Nigerian-born resident of Dublin, died in March 2010 of internal bleeding when, while undergoing an induction, the baby was delivered through a rupture in her uterus into her abdominal cavity. An inquest found that the rupture was caused by scarring and thinning of the uterine wall caused by a previous abortion.

In 2011 Dr Phanuel Dartey perforated the uterus of an Irish woman and left parts of her baby inside her after an abortion at a Marie Stopes centre in London. He was later struck off the medical register.

In 2007, a 15-year-old girl died five days after an abortion at a Marie Stopes centre in Leeds. She never received antibiotics to combat an infection and died of a heart attack. In 2011 a 19-year-old girl contracted a Group B streptococcus infection after having an abortion. Despite surgery and medication, she died twelve days after the abortion. In 2014, three nurses were arrested in relation to the death of a young girl after an abortion at a Marie Stopes centre in Uganda. She died of excessive bleeding.

A 42-year-old woman died days after an abortion at a Marie Stopes centre in Australia in 2011. An anaesthetist is serving a 14-year jail sentence for infecting more than 55 women with hepatitis C at the Marie Stopes centre in 2008 and 2009.

‘Add your voice to the fight because one in three women in the UK will have a termination by the time they are 35.’

NO! Add your voice to the pro-life fight because women deserve better than abortion and every time a woman has an abortion – at least one baby is brutally slaughtered. There have been 9 million abortions since 1967 - including over 90% of babies with Down's Syndrome. 600 abortions every day in Britain. That means 20 babies every hour are killed in the rest of the UK. 1 baby killed every 3 minutes.

We do not want this kind of eugenics and death in Northern Ireland. 100,000 people are alive today because of our pro-life laws. We have the lowest maternal mortality rate in the UK and one of the lowest worldwide. Northern Ireland is one of the saftest places in the world for pregnant women and their preborn children.

Women need love, care and support – not abortion! Precious Life will continue to fight to keep abortion not only illegal but unthinkable!
