Abortion Kills Mother of Five

A mother and her unborn baby both are dead after a supposedly “safe, legal” abortion.

The Blackpool Gazette reports Sarah Louise Dunn, 31, died of sepsis on April 11, 2020 at Blackpool Victoria Hospital in Lancashire, England.

A full investigation into her death is planned for November, according to the report.

Dunn, a mother of five, had an abortion four weeks earlier and complained to her doctor multiple times about continuing to feel ill, the report states.

According to authorities, she went to the doctor on April 9 and then called emergency services the next day; Dunn was taken to the hospital by ambulance where she died less than 24 hours later.

Doctors said she died of sepsis. It is not clear how far along in her pregnancy she was when she aborted her unborn baby or what type of abortion she had.

Abortions are legal for basically any reason up to 24 weeks of pregnancy in England and later in certain circumstances. Most are taxpayer-funded.

Last week, the Dunn family’s lawyer Richard Baker requested an independent expert to examine the case, noting that the doctor who initially reviewed the incident was a colleague of the medical workers who cared for Dunn before she died, the report states.

“It would be unsatisfactory for Sarah’s family for this to degrade into a debate about whether someone is telling the truth or is biased,” Baker said.

Abortions are, by their very nature, deadly, but the abortion industry often downplays the risks to the mother.

LifeNews has documented many cases where women died after legal abortions. These include Tonya Reaves, Cree Erwin, Lakisha Wilson, Diana Lopez, Holly Patterson and others.

As of 2008, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control reported more than 400 women died from legal abortions in the United States, including 12 that year. Since then, nearly 50 more women have died, according to the most recent report from the CDC. However, the agency notes that the number is almost certainly an under-count because eight states do not report their numbers to the CDC.

Abortions kill more than 200,000 unborn babies in England and Wales every year and nearly 1 million in the U.S. In 2020, England and Wales reported a record high in abortions, with 210,860 unborn babies aborted that year.
