Pro-life women and men could face jail under new laws in Republic of Ireland
Any person taking part in a pro-life vigil outside an abortion centre in the Republic of Ireland could be fined or jailed under a proposed new law.
Sinn Féin's Paul Gavan introduced the abortion zones bill to the Irish Seanad. The legislation would set a 100m buffer zone around premises where unborn babies are killed.
The Sinn Féin Senator complained that there are people "...praying."
His bill, if passed, will mean that any pro-life person standing outside the baby-killing centres could face fines of up to €3,000 or imprisonment for up to six months.
Under the legislation it would be illegal to hold a sign or seek to "influence a person" within the zone.
Sinn Féin has also given their full suuport to a similar bill in the Northern Ireland Assembly, introduced by former 'abortion escort' Clare Bailey, leader of the Green Party. [See: Pro-abortionists in NI Assembly pass Second Stage of draconian, oppressive and discriminatory 'Abortion Zone' Bill]
