Precious Life picketed Amnesty International's meeting "Polarising the Polls" on Wednesday 7th December 2016 which was part of the local Northern Ireland Human Rights Festival.

A total of SEVEN people attended Amnesty Internationals "public" meeting to announce their findings of a recent survey undertaken by Millward Brown, Northern Ireland's leading research company.

Adrianne Peltz, Amnesty International’s Northern Ireland Campaigner revealed the findings during her presentation, which looked at several moral questions which she claims were put to a cross-section of the general public to assess the political mood and establish a bench mark on the change of attitudes within the province.

She further claims the sample size, that is to say a little over 1000 people across the entire province, reflects the liberalising of views on the issue of legalising abortion in Northern Ireland.

Most disturbing however, it is this remarkably low sample size that Amnesty International use as a basis from which they peddle their deceit in the media.

“Amnesty international claims that over 70% of people in Northern Ireland want to see abortion laws changed. Their latest survey in which 72% of respondents supported a change in the law, but only 1000 people were asked to take part in the survey! In the words of the late Dr Bernard Nathanson, a former abortionist in the United States who later converted to the pro-life movement, it is a matter of ‘simple arithmetic’: 720 people is not 70% of the population of Northern Ireland."

An example of such spin appeared in the Guardian newspaper on the 18 October 2016 claiming over 60 per cent of people in Northern Ireland believe abortion should be decriminalised.*

Meanwhile, just outside the venue over three times as many pro life campaigners from Precious Life picketed against the injustice.
