Alliance Picket and More "Vote Pro-Life Campaign" Meetings!
As part of our "Vote Pro-Life" campaign we had more meetings this week in Downpatrick, Antrim and Glengormley! Jim Wells, DUP candidate for South Down attended our meeting in Downpatrick, and even Roisin Lynch, SDLP candidate for South Antrim attended her SECOND campaign meetings, both candidates coming out strong by their presence showing their potential voters that, if elected, they will protect unborn children in Northern Ireland.
These meetings have attracted numerous new volunteers, who have been up and down streets, in and out of their communities and outside their local churches, blitzing their areas with our campaign leaflets, spreading the urgent message of voting ONLY pro-life candidates in this election on 2nd March 2017.
As well as the meetings and blitzing, we also held a picket outside the Alliance Party offices in Belfast, with the message that "a vote for the Alliance Party, is a vote for killing unborn babies". Alliance Party leader Naomi Long stated that all current Alliance MLAs support a change in the law in these circumstances. David Ford, their candidate for South Antrim, said that if re-elected, he will resubmit his Abortion Bill on the day he returns to the Assembly.
We have more meetings scheduled for this week in Downpatrick on 14th February, Antrim on 15th February and Glengormley on 16th February, next week in Clogher on 20th February, Newry on 21st February, Belfast on 23rd February, and on Monday 27th February in Omagh.
