We Trust Women. We Don't Trust Abortion.
The Pro-Abortion Green Party released a statement that “The SDLP’s choice of Alasdair McDonnell as a South Belfast candidate effectively put to an end any chance of an agreed candidate in that constituency...” Furthermore, the party said they “could not ask voters to support Alasdair McDonnell. Mr McDonnell doesn’t trust women, as evidenced by his position at the forefront of the SDLP anti-choice policy."
The Green Party are a pro-abortion, anti-life party who neither care about women or children. This bitter, uncompromising statement shows how passionately they believe women should be able to kill their unborn babies. They don’t trust women to make informed decisions by providing them with alternatives and information regarding the adverse effects of abortion.
Alasdair McDonnell, a former GP, husband and father of 4, fully respects and acknowledges that both the mother and her child should be protected under the law in Northern Ireland. Mr McDonnell believes that women should be given emotional, medical, life affirming support throughout and after their pregnancy for as long as they need. Women are vulnerable when pregnant therefore they and their families need all the information regarding the reality of abortion and the alternatives to make an informed decision.
“Trust women” is a mere slogan of a pro-abortion campaign, put forward in 2016 by the British Pregnancy Advisory. The Green Party, as pro-abortion activists and supporters of this slogan, want women to take the lives of their unborn children as they wish to promote the abortion industry, that makes their blood-stained money through the killing of innocent children. If they trust women then why don’t Green Party allow them the opportunity to know all their options?
Breedagh Hughes of the Royal College of Midwives, that supports the ‘Trust Women’ campaign, responded to the Green Party’s comments saying, “I think it’s unfortunate that when you get into this sort of political debate, for want of a better word, very often the people who have no say in the argument are the women involved.”
This cowardly statement pretends to show pity and compassion towards women when really she promotes women killing their unborn children. Pro-abortion activists want money to be made through abortions but don’t actually care about the long-term effects women have to suffer. Alasdair McDonnell wants to give a voice to the voiceless and as a pro-life MP must work to provide better care for women in crisis pregnancy because we know abortion is not the answer.
Dr McDonnell cared for and give people support as a dedicated medical professional for around 30 years and he has been elected MP on 3 successive elections. Alasdair McDonnell wants to uphold the fundamental right to life of every citizen in Northern Ireland.
The Green Party, on the other hand, want to strip unborn children of their right to life and make women the mothers of dead babies. The protection of unborn life is a fundamental concern that underlies all other considerations of human dignity.
The pro-life majority in N.Ireland trust women to be resilient and open to prenatal healthcare and support to allow a child to live because there is enough bloodshed, death and evil in the world without abortion. Abortion betrays women and tells them it's ok to end life of their child. We trust women. We don't trust abortion.
