Precious Life bring "Let's Talk about Abortion" Information Evening to Downpatrick
Bernadette Smyth, Founder and Director of Precious Life, has been busy spreading the pro-life message across the length and breadth of Northern Ireland with our “Let’s Talk about Abortion” Information Evenings. This week, Precious Life travelled to Downpatrick.
Mrs Smyth, as a spokesperson for Precious Life, said today:
“It was a really positive and encouraging evening in Downpatrick Presbyterian Church on Tuesday. It was a great opportunity to engage both sides of the community – Catholic and Protestant – on this life and death issue. A pro-life stance is shared by the majority of people in Northern Ireland regardless of their religious or political background. The pro-life movement unites people here in Northern Ireland with the view that we can do so much better than abortion for unborn babies, women, men, families and society.”
Bernadette also promoted Stanton Healthcare Belfast, which is a project of Precious Life and the only Stanton centre outside of the USA, “The Stanton Vision is all about protecting them both. Stanton provides pregnant and post-abortive women with all the care, love, healing and practical support they require. Stanton provides real options. Real healthcare. Real compassion.”
Finally, Mrs Smyth stated, “Thank you so much to everyone who made an effort to come along on Tuesday evening. With your help and support, we are able to bring the pro-life message across Northern Ireland, giving out life-saving information, and having conversations to change hearts and minds, which will ultimately save lives of unborn babies and their mothers. We must continue to be a beacon of light and hope to the rest of the world, upholding our culture of life.”
