Abortion-Obsessed NI Campaigners push online access to abortion pills amid coronavirus panic
In the midst of a global pandemic, and at a time when every effort is being made to protect human life, abortion campaigners in Northern Ireland are using the widespread alarm to promote abortion.
Despite abortion having nothing at all to do with coronavirus, or healthcare for that matter, abortion providers and ‘abortion rights’ organisations in Northern Ireland are now using the press and media to call for the public’s “right” to access abortion pills via telemedicine (i.e., an online consultation without having to physically see a doctor).
The Irish Abortion Rights Campaign appealed to the media yesterday, calling for legislation to allow telemedicine and at-home DIY abortions to be introduced in the Republic and Northern Ireland in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.
More concerned with finding ways to end the lives of unborn children, frontline abortion providers told The Independent women seeking abortions in Northern Ireland “could be forced to put their lives at risk by resorting to dangerous back-street abortions” in the wake of travel chaos unleashed by coronavirus. The fact of the matter is, of course, that abortion – a procedure which is only classed successful if a human life is ended – is never safe. How can it be? Abortion kills unborn humans 100 percent of the time, and these so-called ‘safe and legal’ abortions have left a trail of devastation worldwide, with many women dying as a result of undergoing perfectly legal abortions at clinics.
Mara Clarke, founder of the Abortion Rights Network told The Independent, “If you have health issues and need an abortion but are barred from getting one your health will be at risk. We are going to see a massive baby boom in December.”
At a time when society’s focus has suddenly shifted to protecting vulnerable human life during this pandemic, it is truly astounding to see abortion campaigners clamouring to destroy the most vulnerable of all. In her unsettling statement, Clarke reveals that she and her organisation fully understand that if an unborn human is allowed to grow and be nourished for 9 months without being killed in an abortion, they will indeed grow into a fully developed “baby”. We are not talking about a ‘clump of cells’ or ‘products of conception.’ Her statement is a reminder that we are talking about living, breathing human beings with inherent human dignity and worth.
Even at such a concerning and unprecedented time, the number one priority of abortion campaigners and providers is to do everything in their power to stop new life from coming into the world, or in Clarke’s words, preventing a “massive baby boom.”
Cathie Sheils, of the Abortion Rights Campaign, added: “There is the threat people will be sold paracetamol or sugar black market pills online and left pregnant against their wishes. There is also the chance they may take a dangerous pill.” Of course, no other pill is designed to destroy human life – what can be as ‘dangerous’ as a pill which poisons and suffocates unborn children in their own mother’s wombs?
After claiming that at-home abortions via the abortion pill are “safe,” Sheils seemingly contradicted herself by adding that, “But on the very rare and unlikely chance of someone having an adverse reaction, they should go to a doctor.”
Calls for dangerous abortion pills to be taken at home with zero in-person contact, consultation or monitoring were reiterated by radical abortion campaign group Alliance for Choice who claimed that “the knock-on effects of the lockdown might see more people who need an abortion in coming months.”
A similar statement was made by money-making abortion giant Marie Stopes UK, who were no doubt fearful of losing big business. Frankie Appleton of Marie Stopes UK claimed that, “social isolation measures because of coronavirus will compound barriers to access”.
The abortion pill process centres on two drugs. Mifepristone, or “Mifeprex,” is a synthetic steroid. When taken in conjunction with misoprostol, the combination carries a 95 percent success rate of forcing a woman’s body to miscarry. Because of its function, it’s recommended that the drug only be taken up until the 10th week of pregnancy. The roughly five percent of children who survive the process are at much greater risk of birth defects.
While abortion supporters and activists say the medication carries a low risk of complications, the FDA warns against women with certain conditions taking these drugs, as side effects can include uncontrolled bleeding that requires surgery, sepsis, flu-like symptoms and even death. The FDA added it has “received reports of serious adverse events in women who took Mifeprex, including “one case of ectopic pregnancy resulting in death; several cases of severe systemic infection (also called sepsis), including some that were fatal; and a single case of non-fatal heart attack.”
