Precious Life slam hypocrisy of Amnesty International

Precious Life have slammed pro-abortion organisation Amnesty International’s goal for 2021 - to make killing unborn children legal in every country in the world.

Director of Precious Life Bernadette Smyth said,  “Amnesty has long abandoned its original mission of safeguarding human rights."

“Amnesty was founded to highlight and confront human rights abuses and to stand up for citizens who were suffering under unjust regimes. But Amnesty has betrayed its founding mission with its constant push to legalise killing unborn babies by abortion.

"Abortion is the ultimate abuse of human rights."

For many years, Precious Life has exposed Amnesty’s exploitation of women in their push to legalise abortion in Northern Ireland. Tragically, the Westminster Parliament forced abortion on Northern Ireland in 2019. However there are still countries in the world where unborn children are protected by law – such as include Malta, sub-Saharan African countries and Latin American countries including Nicaragua, Brazil, El Salvador and the Dominican Republic.

Bernadette Smyth concluded, "Precious Life stand united with the pro-life movement around the world in working to defend the unborn babies in these countries from Amnesty International.”
